Sadly, mission country is now in America. Not out in the jungle but right here. That being said, it is the duty of the parents to teach their children. Yes, we need to be formed well, not just in the Parish but also in the Seminaries, but we as parents need to make our home the domestic Church. We need to spend time with our children and teach them our faith. We spend time dragging them out to football practice, cheer leading, and every other group under the sun but do we really sit down on Sunday and have a day learning, praying, our just sitting still listening for God's voice, starting with myself. This is a good idea but seriously WE need to do this even more so. God gave us these dear ones to pass on our patrimony. If the faith starts to wean it is because WE as parents have failed in our vocation. So do we need to learn our faith better, yes do WE also need to spend more time with OUR children teaching them the richness of fullness of our faith, emphatically YES! Especially us Fathers. We as Father's have a huge responsibility as Spiritual head of our family, man up guys.

Llinking Scripture and Church teachings is a great idea so that people can see that the teachings are not arbitrary. Too many adults, who claim to be following Church teachings, misinform others based on their flawed understanding and interpretation. Anything that will bring clarity to our faith is welcomed.
