It is time for for this information to be a part of our church--please encourage this new Lectionary.

Frank Drollinger, St Thomas Apostle, Woodhaven, NY, USA

This is such a good idea. As far as I can see, both the content of the message and the way to present it would be available to the clergy. The idea is simple and draws on spiritually certain material.

Cristian A Ridilla, First United Church of Christ, NANTY GLO, PA, USA

All Christians need to support this initiative and need to have a desire to be fed the Word of God.

Definitely the Church needs to take comprehensive, systematic measures to improve catechesis of lay ADULTS. We must focus on teaching the parents so that they will in turn teach their children. Most adults will only come into contact with the Church at Sunday Mass, so the homily will typically be the only opportunity to reach them. I also think priests and seminarians need better training in homiletics across the board. We lose many Catholics to non-Catholic sects due to the passionate, biblical preaching some of the sects offer. Of course, their theology is flawed, but I think we need to be humble enough to also imitate the ways in which they're effective.

Sounds like a good idea to me!
