Thank you for getting this going for the people who want to become better Catholics. I have always been a good catholic but my wife and I started going to a bible study group and I realize I did not know as much as I thought. We just come off a pilgrimage to Rome over the holy days. We as Catholics believe in thr readings and gospels each week but going to Rome I come back home and tell people I went, I saw, I believe. Now I cannot get enough of The Lord Jesus Christ and this would be extra special if we cold learn more about our faith.

We really do need to be taught not only the basics of the Catholic faith, but also the particulars, about the lives of the Saints, the role our Blessed Mother plays in the Church and in our lives. There is a treasure chest in the Catechism and so much more to the Catholic teaching. If people only knew what wonders there are!

Thank you,
Amy Bruskotter

I teach catechism to 6th grade students. I am appalled about the lack of catechesis of their parents. I have been trying to persuade the pastor of my church for three years to start all year round catechesis for adults. The parents are the first educators for their children and if they know nothing, teach nothing or teach wrong. There is an urgent need to catechize well our children and adults. Our Catholic Church is under continuous attacks and how are we going to defend it if we are ignorant in the magisterium of the church and the scripture?
