A few years ago I noticed that some, maybe many, of the teachings I remembered from my 12 years of Catholic School teachings, I remembered wrong. This would be a great way of keeping Church teachings accurate and fresh.

This is a tremendous initiative and cannot wait for it to be implementated. I heard about it today on Imaculate Heart Radio.

Blessings for bring this initiative to light. I heard about it by listening to Immaculate Heart Radio which broadcasts EWTN segments and talks which I enjoy listening to.
After hearing about your interesting talk I was interested in finding out more about this initiative. I have always been a Catholic and always felt there was so much more to learn about my faith than. I bought the catechism, and tried to read it like a text book, but I don't believe I was approaching it correctly. Not only that I found that some of the words went over my simple mind. I love God and my Catholic faith and have thought about Evangelizing more and noticed that talking to other parishioners, they knew less about the Church than I did. A friend of mine would say the homilies were not inspiring or too wordy but have very little substance. In some cases I would agree, but I always believed you only get out what you put in. So I am here today to say that I think your initiative is definitely needed in our Church and in our society. Even members of my own family don't know the beauty and richness of our faith. To Diane's last comment, we do hear the 10 commandments in some way shape or form in the Sunday readings and in the Homilies, bur I feel that it needs to be related to our issues today. Even though our issues today are not very different from ages past, our culture is part of the Internet generation and we want information today more than ever. Ever wonder my Google is so popular in our culture today?

Our Pastors need to be the Google of the Church of Jesus. what I mean when I say that is that we need to be taught as the Apostles were taught. I don't think 1 hour on Sunday is not going to do it. In life, people need to be engaged and enpowered and encouraged to go am make diciples of the world. So many Catholics have fallen away and their faith has been shaken. Our secular world has the media on their side, and we Catholics need to be armed with good sound Apologetics teaching.
I think it would be great if pastors and priests engaged the congregations and held questions and answers sessions, maybe after mass.
I would like to see the priest engage the congregation more fully. I think your idea of a cathecetical lectionary is a great start.
I think Catholics need to be lead by example and the parishes as a whole need to be encourage to participate more parish ministries.
You have my full support and prayers for your initiative.

God Bless
Frank

This should have been done since the very beginning. The implementation of this initiative is greatly needed.

Aloysius Green, St. Mary of the Assumption, Butler. Pa., USA

Get it started as quickly as possible!

What a tremendous idea! I will start adding this cause to my daily prayer intentions.
God Bless you all!

We need this so badly. Let's first evanglize our Catholics.

Dcn Bernie Rekiere, Holy Apostles Catholic Church, Meridian, Idaho, USA

We used both the bible and CCc for Baptism Prep for Parents. We walked them
through the Creed, the Mas, Sacrament of Baptism and the raising of children.
We did this because they are the first teachers of their children in their
faith. The people read from the CCC and then we talked about ti. Most where
amazed because they had not even heard of the CCC. Some where even reading on
while I was talking ;-). For example the Mass was Acts 20:7 and CCC 1345.
Baptism history was Mat. 28:19, CCC (1216(indented par.), 1263, 1252,,) John
3 :5. The classes where for 2.5 hours and two nights. We also used "Children
Learn What The Live" and "Message For Parents". We had discussion time with
leading questions. We seldom get to talk about our faith public and they did.
Hope your message of evangelization gets carried through.

It was no coincidence that I was sick today and able to watch Sunday Night Prime! I have shared your same thoughts and views about better organization of how Catechism is taught and implemented for most of my life. I fully support your humble yet fervent spiritual venture to help spread the "true" Catholic word in a simple and succinct manner. God Bless you and your valiant efforts to Evangelize and attempt to bring back fallen Catholics to their faith again! Thank you very much.
Your sister in Christ,
Susan :-)
