I support this initiative. God willing, it will be approved and it will be successful.

I watched "Sunday Night Prime" on EWTN tonight and was excited to hear Father Apostoli and Monsignor Riley talk about it.

We have very few teenagers and college age men and women in our pews.
Every effort to combat the catechesis given to our youth by the secular culture must be tried before we are called to account by God. This "Ordinary Sunday Catechetical Lectionary seems like a step in the right direction. We can't take such steps fast enough.

This is exactly what we need. Some of us at Holy Spirit have been trying to encourage more people to join us in Eucharistic Adoration. Most parishioners I mention this to have NO idea what I am talking about. "I want To Be Taught" is the cure for this common ignorance. Thank you for your faithfulness. I definitely support this initiative. Athough we were taught catechism in the catholic school in Kenya, as one grows old we all need to be re-educated in our faith.

Homer Wiggins, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Richmond, Virginia, United States of America

I support this initiative ! I think this is way overdue and thank you for putting this idea into action!

Fr. J. Ernest Brunelle, M.M., N/A, Maryknoll, NY, USA

My heart thrilled today to hear and see on EWTN the news of this initiative. I am a member of a missionary society that is planning to gather in May to discuss our future, and what we are to do, as we get older and older, and fewer and fewer, and attracting only a few young men to join us. I fervently ask for your prayers that God work a miracle in our case, so that what we see is what God wants, not what we may want, and that we have the wisdom and courage to follow the will of God. We are at a crucial point, and what God does in us (if we will let Him) will determine the future of Maryknoll, or even if we have a future. May our sweet Mother Mary come to our aid, and help us to discern the will of her Son for us, and for all "societies of common life" like Maryknoll, most of which are also dwindling, in the face of our world that is crying out in hunger for a word of Mercy and Salvation. Praised be Jesus Christ; Blessed be the Immaculate Heart of Mary; Come to our aid, St. Joseph, humble guardian of Jesus and Mary and the Church; St. Michael the Archangel protect us from all the snares of the devil. St. Therese, Patron of Missioners, and humble Little Flower of Jesus, intercede for us. Amen.

A most wonderful plan - catechisis of our deep, beautiful faith for all parishes - the same message!!! I am so touched by the simplicity but profound impact this would have on each parishioner, parish, commuinities, dioceses, countries - the entire Church! An answer to embracing the Year of Faith for certain. I will be spreading this message to others and praying for its fruition. Praise God!

Roz Gordon, St. Peter & Paul Parrish, Boonville, Mo. , USA
