This idea is solid. I think it is a good answer to the ever growing ignorance of Catholics about what they should believe and know. St. Paul reminds us to be always ready to give an account of our faith, but this is hardly possible unless we know it. Benedict's Compendium is I think a return to the famous Baltimore Catechism question and answer approach to teaching the faith. I think many Catholics who are ignorant of the faith and therefore practice it poorly or not at all, would be devout if they just knew what to believe and what God and the Church expect of them. This to me *is* a prudent and necessary way to implement the new evangelization.

I'm sure you've discussed the possibility of publishing a new catechism which corresponds to the existing readings instead of changing the readings to accommodate the Compendium and/or Catechism. It seems as thought you may achieve the same end with less resistance. What are your thoughts?
Great work Craig and Family. God Bless!

We need to teach/defend/evangelize! So many, Protestant friends of mine challenge me on my Catholic beliefs and when I give them answers they are amazed. They often comment that they never knew or heard a Catholic who was able to respond to them before. Many Catholics I know want to know why they were never taught the things I share with them. I fully support this Grassroots effort and pray to God for it's implementation! The season is now!

Learned about this on EWTN Sunday Night and think it is a great idea.

I was born in 1971, a cradle Catholic, attended Catholic grade and high school, and attended mass regularly. Knowing what I know now about my Catholic faith, because of EWTN and my local Catholic radio station, I realize me, and most of my generation, was not properly cathecised. I truly believe if we would have been, there would not be so many fallen away, non-practicing, and confused Catholics. There is no way most people would leave our beautiful faith if they were taught properly.
I am therefore speaking for myself and my generation--WE WANT TO BE TAUGHT!! Please help us! Thank you and God Bless.

I saw you on Sunday Night Prime. What blessing this will be to learn more about our beautiful faith. We want to be taught. God Bless your work.

This movement is so needed desperately, I am a cradle catholic , I'm 47 and over the past few years I started to realize how much I didn't know. I went to catholic school until the 6th grade and continued ccd until conformation. I started to educate myself on church doctors, history and the chatechism. When I started to discuss these things with other catholics I was amazed at how much they also didn't know or where confused on teachings. Please I pray let this movement happen. Bless in you and your movement

This is much needed to eliminate the mostly disappointing homilies now being given .
