Last year our Pastor, Fr. Joey Pilola, taught a six week course on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It was an introduction to the contents of the Catechism. We were taught what the Catechism contains and how to use it to learn more of our faith. I gained so much from this course and would be delighted to be guided even deeper into the teachings of the Catholic Church as you propose. May the Lord bless your efforts.

I am in search of Bible teaching . I don't think I am alone. I think we are all starving and although we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ at Mass we are not getting enough teaching. We are starving for scripture and would like to hear more than we are getting at the gospel. I am now receiving my teaching from Pastor Joseph Prince on " Destined To Reign" on cable TV. He is Blessed, and I have learned so much ,however I would like for this same teaching to come from my Catholic Church.I had to send my daughter to the Lutheran school because her Catholic grade school didn't think they needed a religion class because they had mass. The school didn't teach kindness, compassion , love ,selflessness or religion. WE WANT MORE - WE WANT MORE - WE WANT MORE , WE ARE STARVING -FEED US

Without the copy of the Baltimore Catechism that my mother happened to save, I would have had no way to explain many of the questions of faith my children (7) had .
Even though we sent them to Catholic school there were many times that as parents we found the religion courses omitting the important principles of faith.

This is a need that is great and this great idea is long overdue.

I am in the process of completing my Level 1 Catechist Training through the Archdiocese of San Antonio. A major part of this training consisted of a quite extensive Foundations Course, which I came to realize as I was taking the course, that I needed very much because my knowledge of the foundations of the faith was weak. Taking myself, as a case in point, therefore, I see why and how many in the Church definitely need to taught, and as in my case re-taught, the foundations of the faith as contained in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Compendium.
In my case, I received infant Baptism and received First Holy Communion and Confirmation during the mid 1950's, while I was attending Catholic Elementary School. Well, to make a long story short, I thought that I knew my faith, and I didn't really know what I didn't know, until I started really studying the Catechism as part of the Catechist Course that I am completing now. The sad part, for me is that I spent so many years in ignorance of my faith. I think that your concept is so phenomenal, since there must be so many individuals in the Church today who are in the same or similar situation that I found myself in, who need this instruction and knowledge. Just think of all the souls that could be saved and the lives that could be enriched through the implementation of your concept! The Church desperately needs what you are proposing. I will Pray that your concept comes to fruition, very soon. Thank you so much and God bless you.

Jack & June Romolor from Saipan and China. I also pray daily for my wife full recovery from her mental illness she is still in the mental health institution here in oregon.

I lost my small orange booklet of catechism questions and answers it was my first gift I ever have, maybe my wife misplaced it or throw it away, anyways I am a catholic and I go to church a lot when I was young, this days I go depending on how my body feel, I have a chronic sickness called psoriases for almost 15 years now and I read my bible daily to help me with my illness daily. I consider my families very catholic the fact that we celebrate baby Jesus birthday feast every year by feeding baby jesus choirs when they bring baby jesus to our home before or after christmas, our way of life as catholic is very similar to every catholic church, we do honor every special mass catholic have on special holy days, I just go to church on ewtn catholic show programs I watch daily, I already surender my life to Jesus christ but I want to learn more teachings that I need to learn, so if you folks want to give me some deep spiritual tools I can learn I'll be more than happy to learn more about my catholic religion,
in closing I want to say that I put my sickness in Gods hands and I have a lot of hope and faith in jesus christ our lord , I do pray daily to our father almighty to help heal my sickness my hope and faith in jesus is what keep me spiritual daily, I believe I am spiritually devoted and obidience to god, thank you ...I want to be taught.. I just saw you on Sunday Night Prime on EWTN and you two and Msgr are wonderful!!! Good for all of you for doing this! I am a 46 yearold cradle Catholic and was poorly catechized depite going to Catholic school my whole life. I fell in love with Jesus and my Faith in 2009 and EWTN had a big part in getting me up to speed in catechesis. I love talking about my Faith, and I do understand what it is like when family is not so understanding of that fact. But, I know I need to be patient, and that it this is God's work, not mine, regarding their conversions. I pray for them daily, so they can come to understand the incredible peace and joy of knowing where one is going as a Catholic (to Heaven) ultimately and that everything we do has that at its focus. God Bless you all, Margy
