Essential and long overdue. Jesus is both Word and Sacrament. May the initiative be blessed.

A well known Irish priest once told me that in churches in former times two perpetual lights burned - one near the tabernacle of the Blessed Sacrament, the other at the lectern where the Holy Scriptures were.

I need to better understand the faith and it seems that this initiative will help me to do so.

Good initiative!

Many Catholics of today do not know their faith the way they should. This would be a great way of doing it! I hope it comes very soon. We can never learn enough about our faith. We will be learning to the day we die. We definitely need this "Ordinary Sunday Catechetical Lectionary. " God Bless.

MarySusan Jaspers, Sacred Heart Parish, Eden, SD, USA

This is our opportunity to learn, as a parish and world community.

Lynn Peruski, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Plymouth, MI, USA

This is a wonderful way for Catholics to learn the basics of the faith. Many people do not receive any additional education outside of Sunday mass. Wonderful idea.

Kevin & Susan O'Brien, St Mary of the Holy Family, Oregon, IL, USA

Many Catholics in this country are woefully ignorant of Church teaching, due in large part due to the shockingly poor quality of the religious education that they received as children and adolescents over the last several decades. Seemingly, the "mass media" now supplies adult Catholics with "Catholic answers," instead of the Catholic Church.

We whole heartedly endorse the creation of this, "Ordinary Sunday Catechetical Lectionary."

Jessica Steele, St Elizabeth Seton, Bedford, NH, USA

May this be richly blessed by God

AMBER PERRON, IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CHURCH, CONCORD, NH, USA

I WANT TO BE TAUGHT CONTINUALLY, I WANT MY FAMILY WHO DOESN'T STUDY THE BIBLE OR THE CATECHISM, BUT WHO GOES TO MASS TO ALSO BE TAUGHT! THANK YOU!

lorie Collins, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Concord, NH, USA

We are very much in need of guidance, and although we do have the Holy Eucharist, which is most important, and scripture, the "lift" that the homily could give is often looked forward to. Unfortunately, many priests in our area don't even seem to be sure themselves what they are supposed to be teaching of! My daughter, a missionary in Mexico comes back here and exclaims, "Mom, it's so sad here. No one seems to know God, even though we have more Masses and priests here! The homilies are so weak and lacking in passion and knowledge!" Please help us and help our priests.
