Not a bad idea.

My personal faith has been (re)awakened for the past 15 to 20 years now. Every day I am given joy in knowing the goodness of the Lord. And it is with that mindset that I seek ways to share with others the joy I have been given. Every good thing that can be added to the effort of sharing in the work of the Lord is worth the effort required to bring it forth. It is my experience as the Director of Religious Education at my parish that WE do indeed WANT TO BE TAUGHT.

Please consider this my personal plea, as well as my plea on behalf of the parishes in our area.

Barbara Rote, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ephrata, PA, USA

This suggestion & request is what I have been hoping for since I first entered the church in 2004. I went through the RCIA program and ENJOYED learning about the Catholic faith but after ENTERING the church there was no on going faith formation at all. I felt abandonned knowing there was a wealth of treasure in the Catholic faith but did not know how to continue growing in knowledge and love of God without some kind of continuing spiritual formation. I felt I had to create my own formation program but did not have the skill or knowledge to know how to accomplish such a lifelong goal. Reading many spiritual books the suggestion to find a spiritual director would come up but that is even harder than finding a "needle in a haystack". Is it so wrong to want to learn the depths of the faith and expect to find it in my own parish? This may not come as a surprise but some parishes are better at providing spiritual enrichment than others. We all should be learning the same "basics" of the faith to ensure we mature in the journey of faith.

I strongly support this initiative. Most children I know don't even know the Our Father and Hail Mary!

There seems to be so many people today that just don't understand their faith, not only the Catholics sitting in Protestant churches, but the many that remain.

I would love to have this at Masses!

I support this initiative and want to learn more.
