We applaud this effort! Our forty something children are woefully ignorant even with Catholic schools and home teaching.

Catholics do not know there faith. The result is what we see in our country today. Catholics are in many cases voting in people who promote teachings directly in conflict with the true faith. I have been told by many who consider themselves good Catholics, who are very involved in their parishes, that abortion, contraception, living together, and homosexual acts have to be taken "in context" and have claimed that their priests have told them these are not always serious sins. I think in some cases the priests need to believe in the catechism so they can teach it.

As a cradle Catholic, I support your initiatives and would like to help in any way possible. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you in helping us to better know our faith and spread the Word. My prayers are with you.

Homilies as a means of teaching the faith would be wonderful.

I'm signing simply because I want to be taught. It seems I'm learning a lot from Catholic radio, TV and faithful websites. It would be nice to have something structured to help me learn. We have so many great Catholic resources, and that's wonderful. But frankly I'm in need of something more methodical to tie it all into the Mass and Eucharist. Could this lead to being more prepared for the Mass? Hmm... I'd like to find out!

I have read the compendium and think this would be a fantastic way to get catechism back into the church. As with anything else new there will be stumbling blocks - this is almost too easy. A prayer for this endeavor.

I support this initiative. Lighthouse helps make it happen at the parish level.

I agree with this great initiative, we need to learn and understand more the Traditions and teachings of our Catholic Chuch. Meanwhile, I recommend to get and start reading the "United States Catholic Cathechism for Adults", it is a great souce of knowlegde provided in an understandable way.
God Bless and Protect you,
Erika
