Wow! This would be WONDERFUL! I've often wondered why there wasn't a little catechesis at every Mass but was always told the homilies had to focus on Scripture, and here's a way to do both. I'll be praying for this for sure.

We need solid Catholic teaching every Sunday. We currently drive 25 miles for an orthodox mass and pass approximately 8 Catholic churches on the way.

Karen M. Giannettino, St. Therese of Carmel, San Diego, CA, United States

Week after week, we hear absolute politically correct nonsense coming from the homilies in the vast majority of our Catholic Churches. We receive zero catechesis! None! It is high time the priests set whole-parish catechesis as their first priority. And there is no better place for that than at Sunday Mass, and no better vehicle than the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Their teachng must be clear, consise and understandable. And the priest needs to speak up! It's not a secret after all. Everyone needs to hear it--even those in the back pews! Handouts would also be nice, so people have something to take home with them.

Additionally, the Baltimore Catechism needs to be taught once again in CCD as well as in every Catholic school in the nation. It must be part of the core curriculum, beginning in Grade 2. That way, parents and children can learn together and the parents can have some hope of properly forming their children in the Faith of Our Fathers.

If we do not accomplish the above, the marginalization of Catholicism will soon be complete and the Church wil become irrelevant.

Deacon Bob Hasnen, Sacred Heart , Mondovi, Wi, United States

THis is justly needed to reinstill the faith with a laity that has fallen grossly out of touch with authentic Church teaching.
