We need to be cathechize, with the truth and what the Church teaches. People in my parish do not know that Jesus is in the Tabernacle day and night. They don't know what is taking place during Consecration. If they did they would show reverence and adore the Lord of Host instead of gossiping and chewing gum in Church. Today Children are having children, how are they going to teach their children the truth about God if is not being taught in Church? I am blessed that my mother gave me a good foundation. Her mother my grandmother gave her a good foundation because when they went to church they were cathechized. 20 years ago, we went to Church we could still get something out of the Homily and carry it through the week. What we are getting today, specially the youth is lip service, they come to church empty they leave empty. Souls are being lost . We want to be taught, the youth are hungry for the truth. The secular media is giving them lies because we are not being taught the truth to defend our faith.

This needs to be done. Those in the pews are ignorant of what the churches teachings are especially on contraception, abortion and sterilization. If they knew why they might uphold the teaching. That includes the other teachings. I hope the magisterium takes heeds and allows this wonderful way to Evangelize are own people for that is what is needed first. The people in the pews to understand our faith before they can Evangelize it. Janice Knisely

Considering that most adult Catholics have very limited knowledge of matters pertaining to faith and morals and the Sunday Sermon during Mass is the only occasion during which priests can reach most of the members of the Parish, is there a book available to priests that applies the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" to the Sunday Readings ? Seems like that would be helpful.....
