I was just in the process of trying to structure a program to present to our Pastor in which our four area parishes would be progressing (with 'at home' reading assignments each week) from beginning to end through the Catholic Catechism, with Fr. briefly addressing each section at the end of Mass and bringing current topics into his homily when possible. I am so thrilled to see this already in the planning stage (at a universal level!) when I tuned in to a replay of Sunday Night Prime today. We have to know what we're evangelizing about before we can evangelize! I will pray each day that Pope Francis will embrace this vital concept.

I want to be taught!

I am 70 years old & learning so much about my faith. We have bible study, the Jesus of Nazareth books & several other sources. It is amazing but the attendance is poor.
I just watched you on EWTN & I agree because the more we know about our faith the more we can share. Thank you & may God Bless you

As a CCD teacher, I have found many parents lack the knowledge of the Catholic Church needed to pass the faith down to their children. Many are so busy with activities outside of the church and would never attend classes to deepen their faith. Providing the information they need during the homily is a great idea that should help many of them.

Yes, we seek to know more., We are life-long Catholics who are experiencing a new found love for the Mass., and also realizing how much we do not not about our faith. The Catholic faith is deep and rich, and certainly a way of life. We support this initiative and will pray that your plans and efforts will be blessed and fruitful ! May the Lord raise up a new excitement for the Church in the hearts of many, Amen !
