This is one of the best ideas for the advancement of our faith that I've heard in a long time. There are many people in need of education in the Catholic way of life. I include myself in this group. I read as much as I can, but nothing beats being taught by qualified people. Thank you.

The " Lost Generation" (post Baltimore Catechism ) really need this. The parents of my 2nd grade CCD class really need this. It's hard enough to get them to Mass on Sunday, let alone get them to come to our Bible studies and other evening education programs. We have 3 religious educators at our parish - a full time DRE, and an adult and a teen director. It is hard to get people to come to classes and services in the evening. The people need a SPARK FROM THE PULPIT to light the fire of Faith.

Our children went to Catholic Grade school and High School CCD. All they learned was "warm fuzzies and love, love, love". They learned nothing of the rich treasures of the Church. In our ignorance we as parents assumed that they were learning. Now they have left the Church and gone to "gospel churches". They are hungry and were never fed. It's obvious that they never learned any true teachings of the church. Our hearts are broken and we pray constantly for them to return. Hopefully something can be done to stem the tide flowing away from the one, true faith.
