My Priest is a very scholarly and learned man who delivers great homilies. He comments on the real issues of the day. Getting everyone in the Unversal Church on the same page however, is not a bad idea. There has been a real lack in catechesis for decades and many of us cannot defend our faith or know what we have in the Church. We need to stregthen every member of the Church so as to stand together. We are One Body.

I want to be taught in order to be better at spreading the Good News. I have been immersed in Catholicism all my life, through parents, school (as pupil and then teacher including RE) and as a parishioner and I still feel I'm only scratching the surface.

Great idea! Much needed.

I support this.

Thanks. I think, if I'm understanding this correctly, it will be a great tool for the priest, especially those who are afraid of the backlash from the people when they mention life issue & life style issues. It may help to more boldly proclaim the gift that we have.
In Christ,
Seri Letak

I want to be taught. This is an awesome way to promote church teachings. As a convert of 7 years, I am anxious to learn all I can about the treasury of our Faith, the Church. I have engaged parish and archdiocesan resources to learn my faith, but not everyone can do this. I have discovered that there was not always good catechesis in recent generations, there were "gaps", so to say, in good catechetical formation. Using Ordinary time to teach from the pulpit is an excellent opportunity for the faithful. Please provide the Ordinary Sunday Catechetical lectionary. God Bless our efforts.
