I am in favor of the production of an "Ordinary Sunday catechetical lectionary".

My husband and I need to hear the teaching of the Catholic Church

We need to reclaim our faith and what a better way to do this. Our priests are sometimes scared to teach the truth because of the persecution it may bring. This would give the priest the support he needs to truly teach what the Catholic Church teaches. This will also empower us to be voices and examples in our would which desperately lack moral direction and values.

We want to be taught!. Each of us owe it to ourselves not to keep losing our children to other denominations that teach more Scripture. The future of the Church depends on this.

I have been involved in faith development ministries in my parish for over 10 years. This initiative appears to be a practical way to catechize our fellow parishioners. In a recent survey, 'faith development programs' were the most requested by our members. This idea seems to be ideal for what we have been trying to do.

I am currenlty enrolled in the Catechetical Institute the archdiocese of St. Paul/Mpls. This is a 2 year program. I am in the second half of the first year, and am finding this program to be "life changing" wonderful. I can only imagine a world where Catholics are truly taught the truth of our faith.

God Bless

I didn't know how much I didn't know until I started watching EWTN. I was a cafeteria Catholic. Now, I have been educating myself, but I find that my daughter has serious lapses in her faith formation. I am doing my best (she's in her 30's now), but it would be great if the Church would help out.

We need both. I think the focus on the readings was encouraged because Catholics don't know their bible too well.

However, I truly miss the old method of teaching right and wrong as told in the catechism. Without the catechism people tend to make up their own rules and definitions of what is or isn't a sin.
