I HIGHLY SUPPORT THIS GREAT INITIATIVE!

Michelle Gullickson, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, SD, usa

We so desperately need a grass roots teaching of our catholic faith. Please produce for the faithful an "Ordinary Sunday Catechetical lectionary" . I am in our parish Legion of Mary praesidium and we see so many of our faithful lost. We need this tool more than ever.

So many do not know their faith. This sounds like a great idea.

It's sad but true. Today's Catholic knows little about their faith. I think they figure that their parish church is like a bus whose destination is heaven and all they have to do is get on, sit down, and ride along. They leave all that heavy believing and church service stuff to those up front where the steering wheel is. They figure that the back of the bus gets to heaven at the same time as the front, so what's the big deal?

I heard a homily at a church in another town 10 years ago. I settled in for another God is love talk, but this time the priest talked about vincible and invincinable ignorance. My ears perked up and I listened intently as the elder cleric held nothing back and challenged those in the pews to learn more and get involved in the most important aspects of their lives here and more importantly hereafter. He's now my spiritual director and I've been helping him bring the message of the univeral Catholic Church to everyone I see. His message is succinct, make your belief orothodox and believe and practice the doctrines, disciplines, teachings and laws of the Magisterium and the holy Catholic Church.

I saw you last night on EWTN and I was so happy that we all might be taught the truth in Mass.
God bless you. My husband and I will pray for this awesome initiative.
