This would help all those who say that the homilies are not relevant to my life.

As a covert, I have found my treasure as Mr. and Mrs. Glantz. I often amazed how so many catholics go to mass weekly and know so little about the Holy Eucharist is truely Jesus' body, blood and divinity comes to us a sign of his gift of greatest Love to nurish us and so many great sacrements to enlighten and strenghten us in this life.
The more we know about our Faith, more we will appreciate and love our Catholic universl Faith.
The best place to start is during the sermon, all priests systematically cover and teach The Chtechism of cathoic faith along with gospel reading.. this way, all catholics will learn the samething without being confused.
Thanks for bring this important initiation. I pray that all of us will open our hearts to love God and on fire for our treasure-Faith.

I like the idea of combining the scriptures with the catechism for the Sunday homily. Homilies might become a bit longer but we would all become a lot more knowledgable of our precious faith and come to love both scripture and tradition!

Boy do we need this program of education! Only a simple man of the cloth would come up with such a simple teaching program that puts all of us on the same page. Msgr. Reilly, it was great to see you on EWTN tonight. After the training you provided I was not able to get any support. The pictures are still being displayed and a bullhorn has been added. When I tried to get everyone on the same page, I was told "Who put you in charge?"
So Bev and I left to help my daughter and then she had another and one more is due in May. I changed churches and found a priest that would allow us to form a Legion of Mary. After two years everyone had left. But God willing and the help of our Lady two men and one women are interested in re-starting the Legion. God Bless

This sounds like a very interesting initiative. We have a wonderful Priest who teaches us many things from the Catechism each week. It makes a difference. My wife of 31 years became a Catholic this last Easter vigil partly because of his teaching.
