There is a huge need for Adult Catechesis for the Catholic Laity. Two generations of Catholic children have not, for the most part, been adequately instructed in the Faith in a Catholic Grade School or High School. The situation is critical at this point in time: we live and move in the midst of a "culture of death" and Catholics are also being swallowed up in it! Might this petition, rising up from the Laity, for an "Ordinary Sunday Catechetical Lectionary" be the Holy Spirit's prompting? I pray the Magisterium hear our plea!

I believe that if the Catholic Church puts this concept into actual practice as discrived a great need of catechesis for the young, adult and old persons (the entire family) would be accomplished. This is very needed in the Church today.

Hello! I learned of this site and the initiative just a few minutes ago as I was watching the program Sunday Night Prime through the EWTN Asia-Pacific Live Satellite Video. When I heard of it I was sooooooo glad to learn about it because it has been on my mind this past Holy Week. Philippines is a predominantly Catholic country but it makes me truly sad to know that many of us do not actually know what being Catholic is. Many of us are simply "cradle Catholics" or Catholics who were simply baptized but don't really understand it or don't know anything about it. I believe it's because many of our children (the masses) go to public schools where "Religion" or catechism is generally not taught. I was truly blessed that I went to a Catholic school from grade school to high school. Even so, there are still so many things about our Catholic faith that I still don't know of. It was only recently that I began doing a lot of reading (online) about our faith and our "One True Church". For the past weeks I have been fervently praying and wishing that our priests would "really evangelize" during their sermons. I feel sad when a priest goes up to give the sermon after the readings and the gospel but seem to be very unprepared or seem to lack the enthusiasm to preach. How can they expect the parishioners to find enthusiasm for the gospels or the message of our Lord, when they themselves seem to feel burdened by the task or not enthusiastic about it? I praise God for priests who are really dedicated to evangelizing. They make us wanna learn more. I am really so grateful for your site and the initiative. I will pray for you and this effort, that we "cradle Catholics" may come to understand our faith better and live accordingly. Thank you so much. God bless you all. We need to be taught.

What a blessing it would be for Catholics to receive such teaching during Mass.
