God bless!

I feel that in England the homilies should relate the Gospel with what is happening today and not for the priest just to repeat what has just been read in the Gospel and leave it at that.

Please publish.

We have two generations now that think that being Catholic is about social action. The Faith is so much more than feeding people and hugging trees.

We want to be taught!

Tambra Gutierrez, St. Isidore the Farmer, Orange, VA, USA

This sounds just like what we have been needing to enrich catechesis in the Church. I wholeheartedly support this initiative. I would like to include this initiative in my dissertation research for my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at Catholic University of America in DC. My topic is on catechesis and I realize that this is our former Pope Benedict's desire. The Church has become too bible-based to the exclusion of the Catechism of the dogma and doctrine of our faith. May I recommend a book I am currently reading that could provide major support to your initiative? "Handing on the Faith in an Age of Disbelief." Original French and German editions were from 1983 and includes a lecture by then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. This recent translation is 2006, published by Ignatius Press. ISBN: 1-58617-143-7 (HB).
