Our Voices

Our Church needs your voice! Join us in asking the Magisterium to grant us an Ordinary Sunday catechetical lectionary for use in every parish around the world. This initiative is in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, and will always be obedient to the Magisterium. Simply add your thoughts or comments on this page. Simple comment such as “I want to be taught”, or “I support this initiative” is totally acceptable. Please be sure to put down your name, parish, city, country for statistical analysis purpose. This is such a good idea. As far as I can see, both the content of the message and the way to present it would be available to the clergy. The idea is simple and draws on spiritually certain material.

Definitely the Church needs to take comprehensive, systematic measures to improve catechesis of lay ADULTS. We must focus on teaching the parents so that they will in turn teach their children. Most adults will only come into contact with the Church at Sunday Mass, so the homily will typically be the only opportunity to reach them. I also think priests and seminarians need better training in homiletics across the board. We lose many Catholics to non-Catholic sects due to the passionate, biblical preaching some of the sects offer. Of course, their theology is flawed, but I think we need to be humble enough to also imitate the ways in which they're effective.
