Our children went to Catholic schools for 16 years. We thought they were being taught what we were learned in the 50's. Sadly they were not. Though they don't practice the Catholic faith, I'm hoping that those who do attend Mass will learn what the Catholic faith teaches, spread the word, and bring back the separated Catholics.
One of our priests told how some Catholics were confronted at their doors by those who challenged the Catholic faith. Knowing very little of their faith, the Catholics were
unprepared to defend their Catholicism. We want to be taught. We NEED to be taught...please. Mary Ann Powers

Thank you so much for initiating this. It's so badly needed. Please also ask the clergy to teach about and emphasize transubstantiation and the need for making the Liturgy of the Eucharist very sacred.

Coordinating the Sunday readings with the CCC in a way that allows our priests to cycle through teaching the tenants of our faith to their parishioners is a GREAT idea!!! And the programs on EWTN can support that effort by offering programs covering the same material. The whole country will be studying the same topics at the same time! What an awesome idea!!! Please let me know what I can do to help make this happen!

Happy Easter!

I love this idea. This is my fondest desire that we hear Catholic teaching from the pulpit. I have approached our priest on many occasions but am told that he must only preach on the readings. I can see many occasions when Catholic teaching could be taught or even mentioned. I just feel that our priests were poorly formed. We must pray for them and know it is only through them that we have the Eucharist. I am a CCD teacher and feel a responsibility to teach our young people. I pray fervently that our young people will get a thirst for our beautiful faith. Thank you for your work and I will pray that it will succeed.
